ReadThis Shorts is like short videos, but for reading. Each screen holds one short text: a fable, a poem, a wise thought, a surprising fact, a tiny story or a proverb, in English or Arabic. Swipe up for the next one, and tap Listen to hear it read aloud with each sentence highlighted. You can also turn your own text into short cards. It is calm on purpose: no autoplay unless you ask for it, a gentle break card every few cards, and no likes, streaks or tracking.
Questions
Is it free?
ReadThis Shorts is completely free. There are no ads, no account and no paid version.
Does it work offline and on my phone?
Yes. It runs in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and keeps working without internet after your first visit. The reading packs are part of the app, so nothing is fetched from other sites.
Is my text private?
Yes. Text you paste or open is split into cards on your device and saved only in this browser. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no tracking of what you read.
Where do the texts come from?
Fables, poems and wise words come from public-domain books, with the author, book and year on every card. Facts, tiny stories and the explanations of proverbs were written for Favabeans.
Why does it stop after ten cards?
A gentle card asks if you’d like a break. Tap “Keep going” to carry on. You can change it to every 5 or 20 cards, or switch it off, in Settings.
